Age 73, of Morris, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet, Illinois.Born on July 18, 1951, in Morris, Bruce Eugene was the son of Roy and Ardelle (Johnson) Egeland. He was raised in Morris and graduated from Morris High School with the Class of 1969. On June 30, 1973, he married the love of his life, Debra Ziegenfuss, and together they built a home filled with love and cherished memories.A hardworking and skilled craftsman, Bruce owned and operated Bruce Egeland Construction for over 30 years, earning a reputation for his dedication, integrity, and craftsmanship. Beyond his career, he was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon.Bruce will be remembered as a kind-hearted and generous man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
