She was born December 2, 1937, to Earl and Marian Mattusch in Davenport, IA. She grew up on Locust Street and went to Davenport Central High School where she loved to run track. She worked at the local Bon Ton Bakery owned by Harold and Goldie (Elleson) Kosbau. Patricia married Richard Elleson after he returned home to Davenport from serving in the US Marine Corps. At the Bon Ton, they learned the bakery trade. They had seven children together, all raised in the bakery. In 1960, Patricia and Richard ventured out and became owners of their first bakery in Monmouth, IL. They owned various bakeries in Iowa and Illinois before she landed in Bloomington, IL. There she owned and operated the former well-known Market Street Bakery (1401 W Market St) for 29 years before retiring in 2018. Three of her sons cont
