Joanne Carol Knudson Born: May 14, 1934 in Aurora, IL Died: August 1, 2024 in Morris, IL Joanne Carol Knudson, 90, of Morris passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Arcadia Care of Morris with family by her side. Born May 14, 1934 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Melvin and Edna (Larson) Johnson. She graduated from Yorkville High School. She married Keith Knudson July 7th, 1962 at the Plattville Lutheran Church. They lived in rural Plattville/Newark area for all of their married life. She received her teaching degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She was an elementary school teacher for first grade at Yorkville Elementary Grade School and taught second grade at Newark Grade School. She is survived by her loving husband Keith; her daughter Sara (Michael) Funk of Newark, IL; her grandsons Connor (Katie) Funk; Mason (Autumn) Funk; Parker Funk; and Owen Funk; and her great granddaughters Zoey and Oakley. She is also survived by her sisters Marguerite (deceased Hank) Sing
