Julianne Schoeling Born: May 8, 1973 in Joliet, IL Died: July 27, 2024 in Chicago, IL Julianne Susan (Matan) Schoeling, 51, of New Lenox passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 17 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Public Landing, 200 W 8th St., Lockport, IL 60441 (inside the Gaylord Building). Julie was born May 8, 1973 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet to her parents, William "Bill" and Karen (Novak) Matan. She attended Coal City High School and graduated with the class of 1991. She most recently worked for Allied Landscaping in Joliet. She enjoyed working with plants and listening to 80's hair bands, hip hop and reggae. Julie, affectionately known as Juju, loved unconditionally and was a supportive mother and friend. She had a spice for life that was truly unique.
