Vernon "Vernie" W. Ness Born: November 18, 1948 Died: June 3, 2024 Vernon "Vernie" W. Ness, born on November 18, 1948, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, at his home on the family farm, a place he cherished and called home throughout his life. Vernie was a man who preferred solitude, yet his heart was always warmed by the companionship of friends and neighbors who included him in their lives. One of his greatest joys was visiting McDonald's, where he found friendship and conversation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all for continually checking in on him and hosting suppers and holiday gatherings. You made him feel especially welcomed and loved. Vernie graduated from Morris Community High School. He then went to work for Humiston Keeling until the passing of his father, at which point he took over farming the Nettle Creek farm.
