Anthony Farrero Born: July 30, 1943 in Joliet, IL Died: May 12, 2024 in Manteno, IL Age 80, passed away May 12, 2024 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno, Illinois. Born on July 30, 1943 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois, Anthony was the son of Louis & Caroline (Stepnosky) Farrero. Raised and educated in Coal City, Illinois, Anthony lived the typical childhood of the times. Spending time with the neighborhood kids taking apart their bikes just to see who could reassemble them the fastest and fishing at Whitetie. In addition, he was active in Rainbow Council Boy Scouts of America (Troop #66) where he advanced to Explorers Crew. Anthony attended Coal City High School where he played on the baseball team and participated in track before graduating with the Class of 1961. It was during these formative years he also acquired the nicknames: "Anchor" & "Tony". Following high school, Anthony went on to graduate from University of Illinois at Champaign/Urba
